About the event

Shifting from Behavioral Challenges to Instructional Supports is a developing course designed to teach adults working with children explicit tools and strategies to support shifting their current understanding around behavior. From this training, participants will discover what conditions that must be in place for a child to thrive as well as identify what conditions are a hindrance to creating a supportive environment. Through discussion, participants will develop an understanding of attachment and the progression of self-regulation through the practice of coregulation. This discussion will also highlight various barriers children are facing and determine how these barriers are affecting their behavior. Participants will acquire the necessary skills to explicitly model, teach, and support all children including those with behavioral challenges.
